To My Blindness

สวัสดีจ้า 

How's everyone? Can't believe that it has been a week already! We'll, It's been raining all week. I'm not sure if there's a typhoon but everyone pls keep safe!

Biking in the rain this week was fun except that it's not that safe. But good thing: everyone is เกรงใจ to let us in because we're drenched. Haha just kidding! Some older people are telling us to turn off our phones too if it's raining because we might get struck by lightning.

So remember พ่อ ไพบูลย์ the linguist? Last Tuesday, it was raining so hard and he thought we won't be able to teach him but we went to his house still on time and he was so happy! He came back home the night before that from his sister's funeral. He told his wife we're visiting in the morning so they came back home late that night!  when we arrived at their house, he had us write the rest of his poem because he said he dropped his copy somewhere. Here's his poem:

To My Blindness

All men are created equal

Under God, our Lord, as usual.

To my blindness, goodness! Bless me.

When young, I could indeed clearly see

Both positive and negative signs.

Now grown up, I cannot see any signs

The Lord lets me hear only good things

Whatever He says and sings

We had a prepared lesson for him but when we heard his poem, we knew we had to share the Plan of Salvation. And we did! I like analyzing poems and it is so good to be able to connect the lesson to his poem!

He and his wife asked us to explain briefly what they need to do to return back to our Father in Heaven... They both accepted a date so I'm really looking forward to help them progress and learn more about the Savior too. 

So this is the last full week of the transfer! Last Friday, Elder Kanakham of the Seventy visited our branch again and we had a branch council meeting with him! He was there to help the branch plan some stuff on how to turn the branch to a ward. So that's exciting! I was also able to share a scriptural thought. I was kind of surprised because President Salad didn't ask me beforehand but guess what we're a missionary so we should always be prepared hahaha I opened my Thai Book of Mormon and it opened to 3 Nephi 5:13 and it says: 

๑๓ ดูเถิด, ข้าพเจ้าเป็นสานุศิษย์ของพระเยซูคริสต์, พระบุตรของพระผู้เป็นเจ้า. ข้าพเจ้าได้รับการเรียกจากพระองค์ให้ประกาศพระวจนะในบรรดาผู้คนของพระองค์, เพื่อพวกเขาจะมีชีวิตอันเป็นนิจ.

13 Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.

I looooove this verse! It reminds me that everyone is a missionary! We can show our love for God and for our brothers and sisters as we share the gospel. And also, as we serve others in our small and simple ways! Isn't that amazing? Soooo, my challenge for all of us is to share the gospel to at least 1 person this week! OR try to serve at least 1 person this week! (hello small and simple ways)
