10 Random Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About Me

When this year has started, I told myself I would try to be more active on my blog. Well, I tell that to myself all the time. Little did I know, 2020 is not gonna turn out the way I thought it would. I got busy (of work) and I ended up writing for others more than writing on my own personal space. (Well yeah coz that's my job oops)

I always write my blog posts based on personal experiences. So, if you'll try and read from my 2012 posts, you probably have an idea of who I am. I started this blog not to be popular but to have a personal space on the web that can also serve as my digital journal — something I can read in the future or share with my future cute little kiddos.

Although I write a lot about my experiences here, I think I still reveal very little about my actual personality in real life. So here's a chance to get to know me a lil better.

  1. I am 24 years old. I don't even know why this is on the list but I guess some people just think I'm 18 or younger. I do look younger than my age. Before, I get kinda frustrated whenever some people say I look like a kid but as I grew older I feel like it's more of an advantage. hahaha! Just this year, I took a bus to Manila and the ticket seller asked for my student ID for a discount. I told him I'm not a student anymore. He got confused but still gave me a discount anyway! It's crazy but hey, I don't mind. :) I'm also turning 25 this year.

  2. In 4th grade, I was a member of a School Mass Choir. I don't know what you call it but it's for Catholic Religion's Wednesday Mass in our school. I remember practicing with a bunch of students before. I'm actually impressed that I can still remember some of their gospel hymns. This is a fun fact from me because I'm not a Catholic member but glad to have had that experience.
  3. In 6th grade, I won an Oratorical Speech Contest. Don't get me wrong. I'm not even bragging about this. hahaha! Funny story: I won because apparently, I was the only contestant. My teachers were confused too. LOL I didn't know what I would feel because I memorized a five-page piece for it. Oh well...
  4. I admire people who are verbally captivating. I just really have a ton of respect for people who are good at public speaking. I'm not the best at storytelling but I think I'm a decently good speaker. I mean, I can speak in front of groups but I absolutely love getting swept up by people who are natural at it. Right? Who doesn't?
    awkward public speaking pose :)

  5. I used to sell firecrackers. Yes. I did sell some when I was 13yo if I remember it right. hahaha! This is so random but I remember my dad buying me firecrackers to sell (from Bulacan). I neatly placed them on a small table in front of our house. Kids from my neighborhood bought some of it. I didn't really sell a lot but my brothers and I just played with the rest of it. These are child-friendly firecrackers. LOL
  6. I sleepwalked a lot as a child. I have so many childhood stories about this. Sometimes, I don't know if it's true or not anymore. hahaha! Btw, it stopped when I entered high school. whew!
  7. I love crime and action-thriller movies and documentaries. I love documentaries in general. But crime and action-thriller? I like analyzing the characters' choices and asking myself: What would I have been like? What would I do?
  8. My favorite place in the world is home. But it's been two months of just being inside the house. hahaha!
  9. I love sports. If you don't know me, you'd probably think I'm too incapable of playing any sport. hahaha! But I do play sports — quite a lot actually. I love playing tennis, ping-pong, badminton, basketball, and volleyball. I love being active especially when with my friends. My brothers and I used to play basketball every morning. They also taught me how to shoot a 3-point shot in basketball. I miss that.
  10. Shooting Range is my favorite part of every Perya season. I'm all about that baril-barilan and can target every balloon. For reals, I'm not kidding! hahaha Thanks to Troy!!!

There you go, guys! I could have listed more but I'm 24 yrs old and that's a lot of experiences to share. hahaha! I hope you had a great weekend. Stay safe!

  1. I love the candidness of this <3 And I agree on being swept away by passionate speakers. Like how do they do it, right? I hope you're well, Jas x
