สวัสดีค่ะ! เป็นอย่างไรบ้าง? :)
This week felt really long! We had to go to different places and stayed less in our area but... We have to work hard to find people!
Last Monday night, we flew to Bangkok because of work permits. It's so good to see my district again! Also, we stayed at SisterMader and Sister Munro's apartment. It was great seeing them. So Tuesday was more of an 8 hr bus ride back to Mahasarakam. We were kind of late for English Class but we met these 2 amazing girls and we might teach them next week if they have free time. But they are potentials! :)
We went to Kalasin for District meeting which is an hour away. I love district meetings because I learn so much from everyone. This week, we talked about the importance of commitments and Follow ups. Commitments help in preparing people for the covenants of Baptism and Confirmation(pmg :)) and faith is shown by our willingness to commit... and do it, of course ;)
Thursday was such a fun learning experience. I was in a switch off with Sister Ward and she's amazing! She's going home in a few weeks! It's amazing how well she connects with people and how she shares the joyful message of the gospel. We taught 3 people and 1 of them was baptized yesterday! Sister Ward asked me to ask some BIQs in Thai! I didn't read it in Thai though! I tried translating it from English and I think it went ok. :) The sister that was baptized (forgot the name) is incredible! She used to drive for two hours just to meet with the missionaries and learn from them. Her faith, dedication, and willingness to learn is just amazing. But she recently moved to the city and set up her own ตามสั่ง (like an eatery) and guess what? She's only 19 and that's impressive!
It's just the halfway mark of my first transfer and I've seen so many miracles already. Mission time is just kinda weird. Sometimes it's fast, Sometimes slow. Either way it's fun and life changing! Either way, we have to work hard to help in the Lord's work. It takes effort and faith to find the people that the Lord has prepared. But we have to believe in miracles for nothing is impossible with the Lord's help. I have posted my "WHY" on our wall which I see every day. It's the reason why I'm here! - Why I am serving - The gospel has blessed me and my family so much and it is of great joy and love to share the blessings of the gospel to my brothers and sisters here! Spread the love of God!
So my challenge for you this week is to show your love for other people too!(in small and simple ways) with simple greetings or simple acts of service ก็ได้
Love,
SISTER กาการิน
P.S. still getting used to being chased by dogs!!!
