Northern Thailand ❤️

สวัสดีค่ะ everyone!

It has been such a great and productive week! But before anything else, let me just say that we can now call our families every Pday! Videocall too!!!
Isn't that weird??? It is! But also, it is so exciting❤❤❤️ I believe that every revelation has its purpose and I have a feeling this would be a blessing to every missionary and our families too. With that being said, I know my parents are thrilled to videocall or voicecall me because um.. I know they miss me so much!!! Their most beautiful daughter 😂😂😂 hahaha *brothers roll their eyes* yeah so that announcement for us just changed the whole game!

This week, we weren't really in our area that much. We left Tuesday night to go to Chiang Mai(north of Thailand) for switch offs. The travel wasn't that bad. 555 Chiang Mai is so beautiful, btw. Truly a tourist area. At one point, I thought I was in another country because there's a ton of tourists. Aaah! I missed biking a lot. We just biked the whole day and visited the STL's investigators. They have a lot! 555 but yeah their area was way inspiring and I can envision Rangsit to be like that too. Haha #werk I was with Sister Haycock for a day and she is just so awesome! I like how she is so ตรง or bold. Bold with love. In that way, your investies are not เฉยๆ but they are solid and they know our purpose 💪🏼
Also, had the chance to eat the famous Northern food ข้าวซอย. I don't really know how to spell it lol but it was way good. It's still Chilly up north too. Got back Last Thursday and worked ต่อไป.

If there's a miracle this week, that would be... Clarin. She's our best investigator right now. Met her last Monday and taught her the Restoration. She had way awesome questions and it's just super พอดี or perfect with the lesson. She is SO prepared. We called her Wednesday night to follow up on Prayer and after a while, she asked us what baptism is *over the phone * and we explained it to her even though we are in a bus. Gave her a date right at that moment too. She is awesome. She also came to church yesterday which is so AWESOMMEEEE. She wanted to stay so we were able to teach her with some members too. ❤

Our stake president came to visit our ward yesterday and talk with us missionaries too. So... There's another challenge for us. Hahaha we need to have 150 members at church! Haha so we're going to plan about that this week.

Living the work here... All is well! Thanks for your prayers. I don't really have a challenge for this week so just stay awesome, everyone! Love ya!

RANGSIT ❤️

Hello, everyone!

So, I haven't emailed for two weeks! Hahahaha!
Anyway, I'm still in Thailand and guess what? I just moved to Rangsit Ward (Bangkok North Zone)!!!!!! So yes, I'm in the city now! Awww I miss the Isan but it's such a great experience to move here! (sorry for always using exclamation points hahahaha if only y'all can hear my voice right now 555) #IsanBabyMovedToBKKZone

I just opened an area for Sisters with my new companion, Sister Chaiyo, who is คนไทย Thai. Love her! ♥️ She's a new missionary and hasn't been to the MTC. And btw, she's going to Manila next month so that's really exciting! It's been challenging to open and at the same time train. This area has been closed for Sisters for about 5 yrs(they opened it last yr but closed again after 3 months) so we are just excited to open it again!
It's a new experience coz there's a ton of people and tons of foreigners too. What's weird is that more people think I'm Indian/Mexican or something. But more people think I'm Filipino too! Yay!!!! Also, I've been meeting more Filipinos here which is fun. We visited a family last Monday too. Love them!

Before I left Sisaket, we had another baptism. Her name is แอน. She is the sweetest and I miss her! We videocall every Monday which is exciting and it's so good to know that she is doing great! She is such a precious and gorgeous girllll!!!! I can still remember the first time she came to church. She was wearing blue and I sat with her. Her smile is so bright but you can see that there's something behind that smile! After church, we were able to talk and know her story. She is so amazing. The first time she prayed, she said she is so thankful for that day and that it's the best day for her🧡🧡🧡 that first Sunday was her first time to set up a Christmas tree too. I've seen her change and I'm am ever so grateful to have been one of the missionaries to teach her. Aaaaah!

Anyway, it was way hard to leave SISAKET!!! After I left, they've been messaging me and telling me they miss meeeee!
Guess what?? I just miss them too!!! I've only served in two areas before Rangsit and I feel like I now have a Lot of families. Aaaaah! Learned a lot From Sisaket. The members work so hard with the missionaries.

Also, yesterday, I found out that one of our investigators before got baptized. (The wife of the LINGUIST) AAAH! That made my day! ♥️ She looks super beautiful in her baptismal dress. I can still remember the day we found her! We came out of the house of our other investigator who kind of dropped ushahaha and then we just walked in that neighborhood and saw her cleaning her yard. We asked if we could help and got to know her then. She is SO welcoming and even at that time we knew she'll be baptized. And she did! It is just amazing how God prepares His people. ♥️♥️♥️

Coming to Rangsit, it's been hard to for we started with nothing. Two weeks through this transfer, I'll say we've seen a lot of miracles. The elders were really nice to show us the area and refer some of their investigators to us!!! 😅 #Blessed 5555 also, two weeks ago, we found 7 new people. Last week, we were able to find an LA and her mom was way willing to learn. We met with her and she accepted a baptismal invitation on the first lesson too. She is awesome. ♥️

My Companion has been really sick in our first week so it was a lil hard to work but I made sure we can still call people even when we're home. She is wonderful and I love it when she shares her testimony. I mostly speak Thai now, especially in the house or wherever when we're not with some other missionaries. And also, except when I talk with myself. Because my Companion can't speak a lot of English.

Currently, we are trying our best to work with members, especially the leaders so we'll know who they want us to visit. They are awesome and we mostly get referrals from them too.

I lost about 3 kls in the past 2 weeks. 😅 First time I lost weight in the mission hahaha I try to run every day and also, I cook my own food every morning and night(mostly). Not much ข้าวเหนียวsticky rice and อีสาน Isan food 555 I try to cook for Sister Chaiyo but she doesn't eat veggies that much so it's hard hahahahaha and I walk a lot now too. Last Thursday was my first time to bike here in Rangsit and I looooove it!

I don't have that much to share anymore 555 but I do want to share a scripture verse with all of you. It's from Moroni 7:33 and it says

'' 33 And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.''

I know I share a lot about faith but no matter how much faith we have, if we are not going to use it, it'll be useless. I've always admired Nephi from the Book of Mormon- how he is always willing to use faith to do as the Lord commands. Most of the time, he might not fully know and understand why he is commanded to do such thing but his faith is in the Lord. I'll say his brothers LAMAN and LEMUEL also has faith. When they are commanded to go Back to Jerusalem, they murmured. But they still went. They had the faith to try. But that faith wavered after some time but Nephi's didn't. Because his faith was firm and he trusts in the Lord. Nephi doesn't just have the faith to try but he has the faith that endures and so he didn't quit. I always admired that.

Elder W. Andersen told us, "Don’t be discouraged with your failures or mistakes, but be constant in your efforts, and be determined. The faith to reap does not require perfection, but it does require persistence."

Let us remember that, folks! My challenge for everyone is to NOT GIVE UP. And that goes for whatever situation you are in. I love you. Our Heavenly Father loves you. 💖

2 weeks ago, I received my joping/dying papers! Aaah. It's so weird. (missionaries who only have about 6 months receive these documents). There I knew I'm going home this July! I've extended for 3 weeks. 😉 So fast!!!

So happy I get to email today! Have a great week. Also, if you want to write me an actual letter, here's my address:
