The outbreak of COVID-19 has been really stressful for some. As for me, I live and work in Manila. So when they announced about the lockdown (or whatever you call it), I knew I needed to go back to my hometown so I can feel more secure and safe. I had lots of plans that were put on hold but I know it's just about the same for everyone. I was in home quarantine for 14 days, but it didn't really make a lot of difference because everyone is now in strict home quarantine. We're all in this together!
I have been working from home for almost four weeks now. I thought it's going to be a party, you know — working at home and not having to go out of the house. But it's NOT easy! I constantly need to remind myself not to panic eat! hahaha! I need to have that "social distancing" with our refrigerator or even the snacks... or the bed. Sometimes, I would just nap and then continue working through the night.
Most of us have been facing fear and anxiety just to stay safe in this perilous time and it is evidently seen even on the internet. Sharing accurate facts about this disease is very important. Moreover, following precautionary measures can help you save your life and even the lives of people around you.
Here are some ways on how to take care of yourself more and how to stay safe despite the outbreak.
1. Shower Daily
Practicing good hygiene is one of the best ways to combat the virus. This limits the spread of germs and also minimizes the risk to yourself and even to others. In fact, in this hot season, you're doing yourself a favor too. So far, I have been showering every day. lol

2. Wash/Sanitize Hands
YES. No matter how many times you see this reminder on the internet, it will really SAVE your life. Nowadays, there is obviously a shortage of hand sanitizers all over the world but handwashing is the easiest way to prevent the disease. It kills germs and physically removes the dirt or any debris on your hands. So please, WASH YOUR HANDS properly for at least twenty seconds. Save the world, guys.3. Wash Fruits/Vegetables
Store your food properly. Wash all of your fruits and vegetables (and MEAT) before you eat or cook them to ensure that they are clean and safe to eat.

4. Drink Plenty of Water
Always stay hydrated! Drinking lots of water won't prevent the spread of the virus but drinking more can help prevent bacteria and its negative impact on your immune system.5. Drink Your Vitamins
One thing that we need at this time is boosting our immune system. Eat healthy and drink vitamins!
6. Clean/Disinfect Office or Your Working Spaces
Many germs and viruses are found on the surfaces of your workplace or home. Cleaning these surfaces will help prevent the spread of this scary disease. Good thing I always have my mini bottle of alcohol with me! ALWAYS!7. Get Plenty Of Rest
Getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and drinking lots of fluids will help boost your immune system. Sometimes, I feel like sleep is not really a big part of my life right now! hahaha Well, just kidding. I tend to sleep late especially when I'm home but I make sure I get at least 6-7 hours of sleep.8. Exercise
As we're spending more time at home due to community quarantine, we can still find ways to be active. Exercise is important to physical and emotional health. Admittedly, I enjoy zumba with my mom. LOL But, I also just follow YouTube workout videos or use the Nike Training Club app.
9. Trim Your Nails
To help prevent the spread of germs, keep your nails short and trim them often.
10. Wear Clean Clothes
